Four Leaders and Their Management Styles When a mass of people, organisation, country or a whole world gets influenced by leadership quality of a person, then the person is said to be a leader. Leader is the one who guides and shapes the actions and opinions of others. Leader is one who represents the views and feelings of others or the one is able to change the way others think. Successful leaders are those who have their own leadership qualities and effective management principles and at least have a determination to change something for the sake of people. Management styles vary from one leader to another. Two common examples of management styles can be taken as autocratic and democratic. One of the great style of his management included showing up himself as good communicator. This managerial style had helped Mandela in being good leader. During his prison he used to talk with young activists and encourage them to leave violence and move over to his view of non-violence. Similarly, he was persuasive and his persuasion was able to affect other prisoners and even the guards. Other important quality which was included in Mandela was patience which makes him completely different from Adolf Hitler. His patience helped him to be able to have long negotiations with government. Moreover, Nelson Mandela was ambitious but his ambition was for every people of his country rather than himself. His ambition was to destroy Apartheid which he did but this took him almost 50 years of his life. These leadership qualities and management made him one of the greatest leaders of the world which also made him the Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1993. Leaving back the politics and the leaders of the kind if we talk about modern world and technology a leader rose from nowhere to give the technological world a completely different look. His name is Steve Jobs, the former CEO of Apple Company. Jobs saved Apple from failure and revolutionised the computing industry while making a lot of money in the process.
